Coach Licence Pilot Scheme
2009 is here and with it the requirement for all active qualified coaches at Kesteven RFC to apply for and maintain a coach licence as part of the RFU pilot scheme to be run by Midlands RFU throughout 2009 and 2010.
What you need to do:
If you 'assist' but have not attended an RFU coaching course prior to the 6th January 2009:
You need do nothing. In the RFU's eyes you are classed as an assistant and cannot coach independently. It goes without saying however that your input as an assistant coach is nevertheless valued by the Club and can continue as normal within existing guidelines including maintaining a current CRB check.
If you are due to attend an RFU coaching course after the 6th January 2009:
You need do nothing. Future course applications will include applications for a coach licence.
If you hold a recognised RFU coaching qualification obtained before the 6th January 2009:
You need to apply for the new coach licence ASAP.
